Nigel Cooke Nigel has been a partner in McKenzies since 1989 and has extensive experience of dealing with all types of litigation. He regularly conducts both criminal and civil litigation cases in the Sheriff Court and has significant experience of dealing with cases in the Court of Session and High Court. He deals with all types of criminal and civil litigation including commercial litigation, personal injury cases, family cases and cases involving adults with incapacity. He has an extensive private client practice and regularly advises clients in relation to wills, trusts, executries, guardianships and powers of attorney.
Gordon Cooke Gordon joined McKenzies Solicitors in 1997 and has been a partner for more than 12 years. He has over 17 years’ experience in dealing with personal injury cases particularly accidents in the workplace and road traffic accidents. He regularly conducts personal injury cases in the Sheriff Court and instructs cases in the Court of Session. He also has extensive experience in dealing with civil litigation generally and has a keen interest in employment cases acting for both employers and employees at tribunals all over Scotland. He also regularly advises clients in relation to wills, powers of attorney and in respect of executries.
Sally McKenzie Sally joined McKenzies Solicitors in 2006 and has been a partner since 2010. She has over 10 years of experience in dealing with personal injury claims and is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL). She has extensive expertise in dealing with all forms of road traffic accidents, including car and bicycle accidents, accidents in the workplace and medical negligence claims. Sally also has considerable experience in family law and separation matters. We know how difficult family matters can be and Sally deals with matters on a professional but sympathetic basis. Sally also has considerable experience in criminal defence work, appearing regularly in the Sheriff Courts around Scotland and regularly instructing cases in the High Court. Sally is also regularly involved in drafting wills and powers of attorneys for clients.
John Wellburn John joined the firm in 2012 and has been a partner since 2016. He has several years of experience in litigation work but his main practice area is in residential and commercial property. He worked for several years in Edinburgh dealing with a wide range of clients from companies to local authorities and government bodies. He now acts in a range of residential and commercial matters including leasing, business and asset sales, and covers all aspects of property law.
